“The Gentleman” runs 7:31. That is not a music video length, it is a short film length, and it was shot like one: staged sequences, wardrobe changes, location work cut against studio setups, and a build that uses the standing sets in our own building instead of paying day rates on somebody else's.

“Crown” came first. Two finished videos for one artist is the part worth reading, because the second commission is the only review of the first that means anything. Direction, cinematography and colour were handled in house on both.

Music videos are where a studio's economics show. When the stage, the crew, the edit suite and the colour bay are all the same address, an independent artist can afford a seven-minute film with a real set behind it. When they are four invoices from four companies, the same idea gets cut down to ninety seconds in a car park.
